Hello friends and members of M’mbondo community United Kingdom
As agreed at our last general meeting on 5th of May 2018, we are now building a community centre at No 2, 17 May Avenue, Baraka/Dr Congo.
Like much of DRC, Baraka is in economic crisis. poverty manifests itself in many ways, but the impact on education is acutely visible. Our dream as a community here in the UK, we want to create a space to support an end to end education for children in Baraka.
We want to let you know that the Initial fund that we have raised has been directed to land preparation including, surveying, and marking the land, permitting, clearing, fencing.
Also, we have now completed the foundation of the building which is great and amazing news. Total cost was £4,000.
We are now raising £5,000 which we guesstimate to build the walls and roofing, so we kindly asking friend and members to consider donating and join us creating lasting impact and opportunity for children of BARAKA.
$10 will cover for a sac of cement
$12 will cover for one sheet metal
$20 will pay for labour per week
We have received a grant of £500 from friends of FIZI, which is a real help boost. Anyone who would like to help can contact us via our website or mobile number.
